Captain's Blog: Stardate one-zero-zero-six-twenty-ten.

I can picture it now....sitting on the deck of a large spaceship, staring out at the billions of stars, drinking my coffee, and eating junior mints.  Aaaaahhhh.......  All while kicking alien butt!  In your face Captain Kirk!

Yes, so....not only do I love Autumn, but I am a Sci-Fi junkie too.

With that said, I wanted to share a couple of Etsy's Geekery items!

Star Trek Sterling Silver Pendant

A sterling silver Star Trek pendant by Starbright Silver Jewellry.  I really like this pendant -- it's geeky but sophisticated!

My husband and I are also fans of  Stargate.  This piece from Takit, is simple and pretty, and it's a subtle statement of your favorite show.

Here are a couple of beautiful jewelry pieces chosen from the 'non-geekery' items at Etsy!

This necklace is beautiful, delicate and reminiscent of Autumn!  Loop In Loop Jewelry offers this necklace made with fine silver, amber chips, citrine chips, and freshwater pearls.  What a wonderful display!

Autumn Rain and Cozy Quilts

I posted a new set of earrings last night!  I named them "Leaves In a Puddle", because they reminded me of taking a walk after a cool fall rain, and watching the fallen leaves drift across the puddles like tiny ships sailing to distant lands.

Leaves In a Puddle

I found this beautiful Autumn themed quilt on Etsy.  It is a Fall Frolic Scrappy Lap Quilt by Pieces of Pine.  I love to wrap myself up in a cozy quilt on a cold winter's day -- and a handmade quilt makes it even more comforting!

The End of Summer

Today was a beautiful day!  I know, it was cloudy, windy and a little rainy, but after such a LONG stretch of hot (as in magma hot) days, it was a welcome change!

Thinking of fall..... I will entice you with thoughts of autumn by showing one of my personal favorite necklaces: Autumn Reverie! Beautiful arrangement of cascading colors - seed beads changing from violet, to copper and to moss. An actual epoxied maple leaf sits as the focal to this necklace. Enjoy!

Etsy mention for today is a beautiful ethereal style necklace called Blue Moon Goddess! I found this little gem as I was looking for 'fairy themed' items for a treasury. Vintage Filigree's shop is absolutely enchanting for those who love vintage style!

For those who appreciate and/ or worship all that nature has to offer - White Magick Alchemy offers supplies for divination, rituals, alchemy and more!  Here's my favorite pick!  Use it wisely!

Create and Imagine.....

The last of the message charm necklaces that I have made -- 'Create' and 'Inspire'!  The Swarovski crystals are so pretty!  'Create' has a peridot crystal leaf and two deep brown pearls, and 'Inspire' has a starfish pendant in crystal golden sand with two bright gold pearls.  Say it sweetly, say it simple....say it with a message charm necklace!

Dollhouse Pumpkin Pie

Doesn't this look absolutely tasty? Ok.....but unfortunately it is only for your dolls! Betsy Niederer Miniatures -- Goddess of Chocolate on Etsy, will provide you with detailed instructions on how to make this and other cute confections for your miniature collection! Oh if I could only bake like this in real life!

And for those of you who could never make something so small by yourself (because it would just end up looking something like a mouse poop), here is Allie's Minis....maker of Dollhouse Food and Food Jewelry!  Now I have to go make something to eat......

Drops From a Leaf.....

Pretty and delicate, this necklace makes a stunning statement!  A simple, silver, open leaf focal with an assortment of colored drops, rolling down silver chains.  Freshwater pearls give it a touch of elegance!

If there is anything that gives a home some country charm, it is a wreath.  Blooming Couture on Etsy has some beautiful floral wreaths, along with topiaries, floral arrangements and custom order witches hats! Hang a wreath on your front door to make your home warm and inviting during the holidays!

Ode to the End of Summer.

Autumn Reverie

Aaaahhhh.....although I don't think that today is going to feel like the end of summer!  Hot and muggy is the given forecast.  So, I just thought that I would invoke a 'thought' of fall by posting another of my autumn inspired necklaces!  A harmonious blend of violet, copper and moss seed beads accentuate the beautiful maple leaf (an actual epoxied leaf).  The pendant can be removed, so that you may wear the necklace alone.  A little bit of Autumn flair!

And a bit O' whimsy.....

Greenie Marie Whimsical Art Dolls on Etsy -- Sweet, funny, and cute!  She makes her dolls without the use of a pattern, so that each one is unique and made with love!  Nice selection of rag dolls and bears -- pick one to be your cuddly, wuddly, snuggly buddy!

Autumn on its Way!

Autumn Splendor
Since the hint, thought of Autumn is in the air, I thought that I would show one of my favorite necklaces!  This necklace was created with an actual maple leaf - colored and epoxied, it is a vibrant statement of fall!  The seed beads are a beautiful cascade of moss, to bronze, to gold colors.   The leaf pendant may be removed so that the necklace can be worn alone.  If you love Autumn - you can wear a piece of it all year round!
